Ivey at the Final Table
The time has come for Phil Ivey to show his abilities on the largest stage.  For Poker enthusiasts alike the chance to see one of the games greats perform at the final table at the WSOP is an exciting event.  As for Ivey, the week before he is set to take on his competition he is in Cabo San Lucas apparently unfazed by the pressures that are in front of him.  If there was anyone, with the audacity, to doubt the star power of Ivey, maybe his face being on the cover of ESPN the Magazine may hush those doubters.  Ivey has star power that is not easily rivaled in thw world of poker.  This star power does not translate into easy success at the final table though as Ivey has his work cut out for him.  Ivey enters the final table with a short stack, 7th place out of the final 9 competitors.  He's coming in with just under 10 million chips while the leader, Darvin Moon has a massive 59 million chip stack.  The winner takes home a cool $8.5 million which is much earned as the number of participants this year was just under 6,500.  The final 9 battle over a total of $27 million but no doubt Ivey will only be happy with one sum in particular and a Bracelet.
