Jalen Rose has confirmed he will play in the upcoming "Blogs with Balls poker shootout" to be held in Las Vegas October 16th.  In an interview with Yahoo's Ball Don't Lie sport's blog Rose indeed confirmed the reports that he would be testing his poker skills, for the first time, at the charity event.  The event will be composed of sports writers and bloggers from various media outlets in addition to one professional rounder per table.

This celebrity tournament has been organized in order to raise money and awareness for Ante up for Africa, the cahrity partly founded by award-winning actor Don Cheadle, in order to aid relief efforts in Darfur through raising money from various poker events.  Over the past three years the foundation has raised more than $5 million supporting human rights.  The event will take place at the Hard ROck Hotel and Casino's new poker lounge and begins at 8pm.
